Course Description:
True to Ted Robinson’s signature style, the Palm Course is complemented by sprawling water features and rolling greens. While challenging approaches can be found at every turn, perhaps the most picturesque holes round out the back nine. Find Flamingo Island near the 16th tee box, aptly named for the famous resident JW Pink Flamingos that nest nearby. Hole 17 offers a scenic, but difficult water hazard. Finish the round on the challenging water-lined 18th fairway.
Course Notoriety:
The water holes raise the excitement level throughout the round. While some of the ponds and lakes on the JW Marriott Desert Springs Palm Course sit away from the strategic line of play, others are right in your line of attack. The first case in point is the pretty par-3 3rd hole, which requires a carry over water to reach the putting surface. The final four holes of the round, all of which are water-bound, make for the most impressive stretch of golf on the JW Marriott Desert Springs Palm Course. The 17th is a par 3 with an island green and the spectacular finisher, with water all up the left, comes right back to the epicenter of the Resort.
